Clive is very cute and playful, and he loves everyone...cats, dogs, and humans! By all appearances he is a normal kitten but when Clive was weaned he couldn't keep his food down and he was much smaller than his brothers. Initially it was thought that Clive had Persistent Right Aortic Arch but during surgery it was discovered that he had Aberrant Left Subclavian Artery (see tabs below for more info). Clive had his surgery on February the 8th...
Clive had his surgery on February 8, 2011. He recovered very quickly and has taken over the house! You can read his progress reports below, and you can also look for Clive's Story on Facebook where you will find more recent updates and photos of Clive!

Awww, the little guy has had a really rough few weeks. That's good he is eating something...that's always a good sign...and resting so his body can heal from that nasty tooth! Human baby food has always worked for me in the past if a sick kitty didn't want to eat. Except for Jellybean for whom I had to make a concoction of steamed chicken, brown rice, carrots & peas...LOL!
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious about Jellybean.....sounds pretty good actually lol.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was good! Jelly shared with me, but I didn't put mine in the food processor LOL! That was when I first found her, she was weak and always fell over when she walked (and she'd fall into the litter box but never had an "accident" on the floor!), and she would not eat ANYTHING, and I thought she was going to die. She is still very picky (but still likes plain chicken which she gets for her treats!).
ReplyDeletePoor little thing, that's so sad that she couldn't even stand up. So glad that you found her and saved her.
ReplyDeleteActually, she found me. My neighbor found her curled up under their truck one morning, and they came and got me. I have no idea how she got there or where she came from.
ReplyDeleteWell she is a smart girl to have found you then!
ReplyDeleteHi, how is Clive doing? I am Timmy's mom

Hope he is doing well

He is doing great! If I try to give him dry cat food he gags and coughs and will usually regurgitate it but he can eat canned cat food with no problems at all and he can also eat canned food with a little dry mixed in ok. I am hopeful he will be able to live a normal life and will just have to stay away from dry food. As he gets bigger of course there may be problems but so far so good. Thanks for asking....
